[13600] Drive train

13600 The drive train consists of five parts as shown in the 3D image displayed below.
All parts are shown in a different colour. The green part is the
motor plate and bolts onto the engine. This then bolts to the large central
plate which is shown in blue. The red part holds the bearing/clutch bell.
The yellow part holds the bearings/lay shaft. The metal colour strip mounts
the complete assembly onto the chassis. The drive train is supplied
pre-assembled.

The main advantage of using the drive train is to get all the gears located in a fixed position to ensure perfect gear mesh. Using the large central plate provides a fixed distance for all the gears, from the first spur gear through to the diff gear. The large central plate also makes it impossible for the motor to move and releasing four bolts on the motor plate enables a quick removal of the engine.

13600-2 Another unique feature of the design is the quick release of the layshaft holder. The layshaft holder locates in a hexagonal hole and is secured with three bolts. Without removing any of the gears or releasing other parts the lay shaft can be taken out for inspection of the bearings and gears. The gears are mounted this way to be as close as possible to the drive train.
This reduces forces on the transmission and reduces wear, resulting in a longer life for the gears. All parts of the system are designed to interlock and shocks will therefore be absorbed by the parts directly. The bolts are only keeping the parts in place and do not suffer any shear forces.

The top part of the dif mount 18502 for mounting the differential is not included but separately available.

When this unit is mounted in a monster model a 14T pinion with shifted tooth profile is needed or the helical gearset can be used.
Ask for 14660 for a correct gear mesh.

[13601] Engine mount small

13601 Where possible we machined away material without compromizing to stifness and strength. For a good fixation of the engine to your frame use this tuning-part. Together with the engine mount comes a complete set of assembling material.

[18500] Differential

18500
This new differential is provided with spiral bevel gears. Because of the sliding contact that these spiraled gears make their contact pressure is higher and the forces are divided over at least two teeth at all times.
This results in a much stronger differential that is resistant to the large forces that are imposed on the differentials, especially in off-road racing.
The differential is a closed system which is filled with approximately 10-12ml of oil. The raised diff mounts are required for enough clearance from the chassis in order the diff to run free.
The differential is delivered assembled and pre-filled.

[18501] Raised differential mount divisible, right

18501 The differential mounts are raised for a better transmission. Placing a plate under your differential mount is a matter of the past. Because the dif mounts are divisible assembling has became also much easier. To make the difmount as stiff and strong as the diffmount out of 1 piece, the upper en lower part fit in each other. As pieces from a puzzle the parts are fixed together. The raised difmounts are delivered with all nescesarry assembling material.

[18502] Raised differential mount divisible, left

18502 The differential mounts are raised for a better transmission.

[18503] Shock absorberplate rear

18503 The shock absorberplate rear is a fine piece of tuning.
Looks like a butterfly, it is light as a butterfly!
The absorberplate itself and a little mountingplate fit in each other as a puzzle again like the difmounts. By choosing this construction we were able to realize a friction free connection held together by only 2 small bolts. We did not forget the extra possibility to choose the placement of your shock absorber, more or less vertical placement is possible depending on the terain you will drive on.
All needed assembling materials enclosed except of item 18813.

[18504] Lowerwishbone mount rear, set

18504 To mount the lowerwishbones on the car the ballbearings are no longer used. The mount for the lowerwishbone is directly fixed onto the car. The holes for the shaft are drilled under a angle. By including this backward angle for the wishbones the car will show a more stable driving behaviour, this provides better control over the car. Of course we inserted the teflon bearings as used in other parts to avoid any maintanance. Delivered with needed assembling materials.

[18505] Lower wishbone rear left

18505 The lowerwishbone itself consists of 2 parts, by this we achieved to change toe-in/out exactly where it should be. Under the centre line of the shaft, the hinge point for adjusting toe-in/out is situated. By adjusting the angle of toe-in/out the length of the driving shaft now remains the same.
18505-2 With small bolts the angle can be adjusted continuously to any desired angle within a range of maximum 4 degrees in and 2 degrees out. For your convenience we engraved a degree bow on the wishbone, so no extra measurement tools are needed! Of course a stabilization bar can be mounted onto the wishbone. The usual teflon bearings are already pressed in and the needed assembling materials are enclosed.

[18506] Lower wishbone rear right

18506 The lowerwishbone itself consists of 2 parts, by this we achieved to change toe-in/out exactly where it should be. Under the centre line of the shaft, the hinge point for adjusting toe-in/out is situated. By adjusting the angle of toe-in/out the length of the driving shaft now remains the same.
18506-2 With small bolts the angle can be adjusted continously to any desired angle within a range of maximum 4 degrees in and 2 degrees out. For your convinience we engraved a degree bow on the wishbone, so no extra measurement tools are needed! Of course a stabilization bar can be mounted onto the wishbone. The usual teflon bearings are already pressed in and the needed assembling materials are enclosed.

[18507] Upper wishbone set

18507 The upper wishbones for the rear are made as a compact element, the driving height can be adjusted. The turnbuckle is locked by a little synthetic fibre bar to keep it in place at all time. To fix the turnbuckle with a nut is not nescesarry anymore. Delivered with all assembling materials and fibre bar, exclusive the turnbuckle M8 (standard).

[18508] Upright mount rear, set

18508 Use this part in combination with item 18507 for a friction free connection to the upright. The existing geometrie of the parallelogram we changed with this little part. With the changes a better position of the tyre on the track is achieved when driving through a curve. The full width from the tread of the tyre now keeps in contact with the track. This results in more grip and better control over the car steering through a curve.

Another change is the hinge point of the ballbearing. The new position is exactly in the same vertical axis as the hinge point from the lower wishbones (partnumber 18505 & 18506) for the adjustment of toe-in and -out. This prevents friction and tension on the ballbearing if this feature is adjusted.
The mount for the upright is delivered with all needed assembling materials.

[18509] Stabilization bar rear for 18503 & 18533

18509 The stabilization bar is made from stainless steel for springs with 4mm in diameter. The part perfectly fits into the groove in the shockmount for the rear, see part number 18503. All needed assembling materials are enclosed.

[18510] Connection plate (difmount - engine)

18510 Connection plate between difmount and engine. Produced from stainless steel plate material so it won't tear. Cutted by laser we made it as lightweight as possible and still strong.
Delivered with a complete set of assembling material.

[18511] Raised upright rear, right

18511 The raised rear upright is suitable for all on-road and off-road cars. The upright is light weight as smaller bearings are used and the total size is smaller than the standard uprights. The raising of the upright prevents wear of the protective bellow (ball drive system) and won't hit the lower wishbone.
The stainless steel distance bush is included (excluded bearings).
We recommend to use bearing: 18700.

[18512] Raised upright rear, left

18512 The raised rear upright is suitable for all on-road and off-road cars.

[18515] Dif case from Stainless Steel

18515 The diff case is made from Stainless Steel and is therefor much stronger and more durable than the standard diff case.
The diff case is corrosion free.

[18516] Raised shocker mount, rear

18516 This set of raised shocker mounts for the rear fit into the nut of the rear wishbones. The placement of your shocker is now quickly adjustable by hand on 3 different positions. You can mount your shockers more or less vertical depending on the surface you will drive on.
Delivered with a complete set of assembling material.

[18521] Ball drive shaft - standard length

18521 Ball drive shaft with standard length.
Made from high quality steel with an excellent resistance against torsion.
Corrosion protected by a black coated layer.
The conical springs that are delivered in the set should be placed with the biggest diameter first inside the drive cup. With this system the drive shaft will remain in the middle during driving.
A higher amount of droop can now be installed on the car.
The shafts fit with wishbones 18505 /18506.
The ball drives are compatible with FG en LB ball drive systems.

[18522] Wheel axle - reinforced drive cup

18522 Wheel axle with a reinforced drive cup.
The cup and shaft are prepared on the future and can withstand significant higher forces. As engine output is rising through the last years, this shaft is the solution. Also are 4 flat sides grinded on the shaft so future wheel squares with 4 grub screws can be used.
The shaft is compatibel with FG and LB ball drive systems.

[18525] Ball drive shaft - XL

18525 Ball drive shaft in lengthened version (XL).
